Status of GoodExchange Playground refurbishment

We are excited to be listed on the Good Exchange. The Good Exchange is a not-for-profit, on-line matching platform that has been designed to address one of today’s biggest charitable fundraising challenges – how to best match those organisations and individuals who have money to give to good causes to those who need it most.

We are now raising for our Playground Refurbishment Project. We are so excited to announce that we have been granted “fund matching” from the Greenham Trust. They will match every £1 we raise between April 2021 and October 2021. Please help us raise the funds we need by either Donating using the link below or getting involved in the many fundraising activities we will be running over the next few months.

Race Night - October 8th 2021

A night at the Races

October 8th 2021 at 8pm

Our Races Night was held in our local Village Working men’s club in Pangbourne. It was a huge success and we had such fun running it. We raised over £1400 for our garden project.

Massive thanks go to the Pangbourne Club for hosting us, the businesses who supported us and donated money, and of course all the people who came on the night or who “bought” horses to sponsor.

August 2021 - Fundraising News

We have just received news that the Peter Baker foundation has given us a grant of £2500 for our garden project. This is amazing news and we have now reached over £7k in our fundraising efforts to build a new garden and play area for the children of Pangbourne Village to enjoy at their playgroup.

July 2021 - Pre-loved Sale

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make our Pre-Loved Sale such a resounding success, either by donating, selling, baking & making, transporting etc. The enthusiastic support of Pangbourne residents was overwhelming and greatly appreciated.

Items were donated by over 60 local families and we were delighted by the attendance on the day, albeit with ongoing COVID restrictions.
We made £859.76 on the day at the sale and we have also sold items on eBay, auction sites and at car boot sales – as such we have now made over £1500!!! We are continuing to sell remaining items at local sales so the final total will be even higher. In particular, sincere thanks to the Aman Kapila Charitable Trust Fund for their generous support. The money will go towards our garden project and will be fund matched by the Greenham Trust via the Good Exchange.

April 2021 - Duck Hunt

The duck hunt this year was an amazing success. We raised £168.37 directly from the sale of the Maps, which was fundmatched by the Greenham Trust bringing us to a total of £336.74 raised for this event. This can now go towards our Garden Playground Project.

Thank you to everyone who took part, to Garlands who were so kind in selling our maps, The Rhubarb Tree, Birch Bread and Little Labels for putting up ducks in their windows, Birch Bread for providing a prize and Herald Graphics for printing our maps for us.

I hope you had as much fun doing the hunt as we did!
